The detox bottle, thanks to its activated carbon filter, filters tap water to make it odorless, tasteless and organic pollutant.
- The water passes through the hollow fiber of the ultrafiltration membrane (filter).
- The hollow fibers have holes 0.01 microns in diameter. Thus all microorganisms having a diameter greater than that of the fibers are retained. The filter can filter 99.99% of bacteria (E.coli), protozoa (Giardia, cryptosporidium) in water. Laboratory tests are underway to prove that it can also filter most viruses that we can meet.
- The water then passes from the ultrafiltration membrane to the escape where the activated carbon is stored. The activated carbon will eliminate odors from the water and reduce chlorine and turbidity.
This water filtration system requires no harmful chemicals, no external power.
